We are able to provide design and installation services for any of the
above products as well as many other test facility requirements. HC Controls
has extensive experience in the system integration of National Instruments
PXI/SCXI data acquisition products.
Data Acquisition Systems
Our engineers are experienced in providing turn-key data acquisition installations
and solutions.
Our engineers will analyse a clients requirements, detail
both the hardware and software needed to fulfil the project goals. Our
turnkey solutions provide the client with detailed proposals, electrical
interface drawings, operating and maintenance manuals, training and follow-on
support.
Modern data acquisition systems can greatly improve the
efficiency of a test facility, cutting cell occupancy times, reducing
fuel usage and obtain more accurate test data than achievable with an
old analogue based system. Data collected can automatically be archived,
trended and analysed to give the test engineers reliable fault finding
and problem diagnostic information.
Operator screen displays and information presentation and
test reporting is customised to the individual client ensuring that the
users are provided with the optimum working environment.
An important benefit of a well designed data acquisition
system is the ability to continually monitor both the engine and the
facility parameter data signals to ensure that the information being monitored
is within programmed limits.
This has two benefits to the user:-
a) The engine and facility are protected from any dangerous running conditions,
which could endanger personnel or the facility itself.
b) The data acquisition system ensures that all of the data recorded is
within specified expected levels. This ensures that no erroneous data
is recorded which could otherwise lead to the requirement to re-test the
engine - a timely and costly exercise.
HC Controls is extremely experienced in the system integration
of the very popular and versatile National Instruments series of products.
Having designed, specified, installed, commissioned and maintained various
systems for our customer’s world wide.
Also we have extensive working knowledge of the Daytronic
range of data acquisition systems. Having installed, commissioned and
maintained numerous installations world wide, over many years.
Application Test Software
Our engineers are able to produce bespoke engine and component
test software, specifically tailored to the client’s requirements.
Test Facility Conversions
Many aero engine test facilities in operation today are in need of upgrading
to either take advantage of modern instrumentation and control systems
or to add new engine capability.
Our engineers have all the experience needed to successfully
convert old test facilities to more modern testing environments and to
integrate new engine types into the facility.
We have vast experience in liaising with engine manufacturers
to ensure that the conversion is carried out to their exacting requirements
and also provide technical assistance during the cross correlation (facility
approval) stage.
HC Controls have extensive experience in the following engine/aircraft
types:
C-130-H, C-130J, AP-3C, T56-A-15, T56-A-14, M53-P2, ALF502, LF507, Adour,
501-D22A, 501-D22C.
HC Controls has had many years experience in the aviation industry, specifically
in test facility design and commissioning. With this and other knowledge
we are able to provide consultancy on a wide range of subjects and disciplines.
Project Management
Effective Project Management is an important tool, whether the project
is small or large.
Too many companies ignore the benefits of utilising the
many project management techniques which are available today. Our engineers
have extensive experience in managing complex projects and have been responsible
for projects up to £13 million pounds sterling and lasting for up
to 2 years in duration.
Tender Production
Technical tender production in your choice of electronic media formats
for submission to third parties to quotation purposes is sometimes just
as difficult as the task of designing the end requirement. It is imperative
that the tender documents detail exactly what the client
wants.
Working closely with the customer, we can produce a tender
specification which will ensure that all of the technical aspects of the
project requirements are detailed to the supplier at the tender stage.
This will ensure that the companies tendering for the project will incorporate
all of the company’s requirement and make it much easier for the
client to evaluate their offers.
Tender Evaluation
We offer a completely unbiased tender evaluation service which will highlight
to the client the precise offers from prospective suppliers. HC Controls
will produce a detailed report covering all of the suppliers tender submissions,
make comparisons and clarify the technical aspects of the tender to the
client.
Technical projects invariably require the client to be able
to verify exactly what the supplier intends to include within the scope
of supply and sometimes this information is difficult to precisely ascertain.
HC Controls can help with this process.
Feasibility Studies
We are pleased to be offer our clients a feasibility study service. Prior
to allocating vast sums of money and resources to a project it is often
necessary to produce a feasibility study to verify the projects viability.
This is sometimes best carried out by a third party to keep the companies'
plans or aspirations secret prior to announcing the company’s intentions
to both the rest of industry and to the general work force.
Full technical and commercial feasibility studies are undertaken
to include both written reports and outline designs in CAD format. HC
Controls can produce drawings in AutoCAD formats to suit customer’s
requirements.
Specialising in vibration analysis and test facility disciplines, we are
able to provide technical support on a wide range of subjects.
Please look through the services which we offer, and if
you find that your requirements are not detailed on this site, then please
use the ContactUs link above to discuss more specific requirements.
